energy communities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The report points out that the autonomous communities where this model has been most developed are <strong>Catalonia, Valencia, the Basque Country and Navarre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of <strong>Catalonia<\/strong>, the differentiating factors are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>strong cooperative and municipalist tradition<\/strong>, with municipalities leading projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Institutional support<\/strong> from the Generalitat and access to European programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diversity of models: from small mountain villages to urban projects in <strong>Girona, Barcelona or Figueres.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social impact<\/strong>: several projects include measures to combat <strong>energy poverty<\/strong> and strengthen <strong>women&#8217;s participation<\/strong> in governing bodies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples in the consume, store and share renewable energy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Royal Decree under consultation (April 2023, MITECO)<\/strong>: creates a <strong>flexible regulatory framework<\/strong> and allocates <strong>specific quotas<\/strong> in renewable auctions for energy communities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>European directives: they reinforce the role of these figures in the energy
