Solar battery installation can benefit from specific grants that significantly reduce the initial investment. In 2026, tax deductions, municipal bonuses and regional programmes remain active, making solar storage more accessible than ever.
- Income tax deduction (IRPF): Between 20% and 60% of the investment for combined solar panel and battery installations, valid until 31 December 2026.
- Regional grants: Specific programmes for battery storage in self-consumption installations. In many cases batteries have independent grant lines separate from the panels.
- Municipal IBI and ICIO bonuses: Discounts on local taxes depending on the municipality where the installation is carried out.

Frequently asked questions about solar battery installation
Can I install a battery if I already have solar panels from another company?
Yes. We install batteries on existing photovoltaic installations regardless of who installed them. Before quoting we analyse your current inverter to determine the most efficient connection architecture — AC-Coupling or DC-Coupling — and select the battery system most compatible with your installation.
How long do lithium batteries last?
The lithium batteries we install have a useful life of more than 6,000 charge cycles with a depth of discharge of 90%. In normal domestic use, this is equivalent to more than 15 years of operation. Degradation is minimal and predictable, so you can plan your return on investment with real data.
What happens to my batteries during a power cut?
It depends on the installed system. With the UPS function activated, the switchover to battery is instantaneous — in milliseconds — without any connected equipment switching off. Without UPS, the system disconnects from the grid but can continue managing the solar energy generated. At Fotovol we size the system according to your real continuity of supply needs.
