Air Conditioning Installation for Homes, Businesses and Industrial Units

At Fotovol we design and install air conditioning systems for homes, industrial units and businesses. From a residential split to a VRF system for a production plant — our engineering team sizes each installation according to the consumption profile, activity and actual space.

We work with ducted, multisplit and VRF systems. If you already have a solar photovoltaic installation, we also optimise the system to make the most of the available solar energy and reduce your grid consumption to a minimum.

Before every installation we carry out a thermal calculation of the space, analysing surface area, orientation, insulation and usage habits. This way we correctly size the equipment and guarantee comfort, energy efficiency and silent operation.

At Fotovol we analyse your home and recommend the most efficient system according to your layout, budget and whether you have a false ceiling.

  • Split: The quickest option for climate control in a specific room. Inverter technology and R32 refrigerant for fast, silent and efficient operation.
  • Multisplit: Up to 5 rooms with a single outdoor unit. No building work, no multiple units on the facade, with independent room control.
  • Ducted: Invisible, uniform climate control from the false ceiling. Intelligent zoning with Airzone to control each room independently.

Prior engineering and installation process

Every air conditioning installation at Fotovol starts with a technical study of the space. Without this prior analysis it is not possible to correctly size the equipment or guarantee long-term performance.

  1. Space study: We calculate thermal loads by analysing surface area, orientation, insulation and usage habits. An oversized unit consumes more and generates more noise — an undersized one never reaches the target temperature.
  2. Technical proposal: We select the most suitable system and power output for each case. For ducted systems, we also calculate the available static pressure to guarantee balanced air distribution without noise from the grilles.
  3. Professional installation: Equipment assembly, electrical connection and refrigeration circuit by our certified technical team.
  4. Commissioning: We carry out nitrogen pressure and controlled vacuum tests to guarantee the R32 refrigerant circuit is completely sealed before the system is put into operation.
  5. Optional maintenance: Service plans to extend the system's useful life and maintain efficiency over time in compliance with current regulations.

If your home has a photovoltaic installation, we configure the air conditioning system to take advantage of solar production during peak generation hours. In summer, when cooling demand is at its highest, solar production is too — savings are immediate.

    • Preventive cooling with solar surplus: We programme the system to advance home climate control when solar surplus is available, lowering the temperature before peak hours without consuming grid energy.
    • The building as a thermal accumulator: The building's mass stores the cold generated during peak solar production hours. This reduces electricity consumption during the afternoon and evening when photovoltaic production drops.
    • Integration with certified inverters: We work with Fronius, SMA, SolarEdge and Kostal inverters to guarantee correct communication between the photovoltaic system and the air conditioning.
  • In-house engineering for every project: We calculate the real thermal loads of your space before proposing any equipment. We don't install the same system in every home.
  • Certified installers: We work with the leading brands on the market — Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Samsung — with official certifications guaranteeing the validity of the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Regulatory compliance: All our installations comply with current building thermal regulations, guaranteeing the legality and safety of the system.
  • Airzone zoning: We specialise in zone control systems that allow managing the temperature of each room independently, saving up to 40% in energy.
  • Solar integration included: If you have solar panels, we configure the system to maximise self-consumption at no additional cost.

Frequently asked questions about air conditioning installation

Which system suits me: split, multisplit or ducted?

It depends on three factors: how many rooms you want to climate control, whether you have a false ceiling and your budget. For a single room, split is the quickest and most affordable option. For several rooms without a false ceiling, multisplit avoids multiple outdoor units. For invisible, complete climate control throughout the home, ducted is the optimal solution. At Fotovol we analyse your case and recommend the most cost-effective option before quoting.

How long does a standard installation take?

A single split is installed in a few hours. A 3-4 room multisplit is usually completed in one day. A ducted installation takes between 2 and 4 days depending on the network complexity and home size. In all cases we leave the system running and certified on the same day as commissioning.

Can I connect the air conditioning to my solar panels?

Yes. If you already have a photovoltaic installation, we configure the system to prioritise air conditioning consumption during peak solar production hours. If you are considering installing panels, we can size both systems together to maximise self-consumption and savings from day one.
