Solar farm projects and maintenance

Engineering, permitting and implementation of solar farms

If you are considering promoting a photovoltaic installation on land, Fotovol acts as your EPEC company. We take care of the whole process in an integral way: from the engineering of the project, the management of permits and licenses, to the execution and legalization of the installation.

We also carry outtechnical and economic feasibility studies, as well as environmental and grid connection reports, which are essential to ensure that your project is profitable, sustainable and complies with all current regulations.

Maintenance of solar farms

In addition to development, we offer a complete operation and maintenance service for installations already in operation. This includes:

  • Solar panel cleaning
  • Thermographic studies to detect failures or loss of performance
  • Overhaul and replacement of deteriorated modules
  • Revamping services, upgrading and modernizing key components to extend the plant’s lifetime

Proper maintenance maximizes energy production, avoids unplanned shutdowns and ensures consistent long-term profitability.

Solar farms make it possible to take advantage of large tracts of land to produce electricity using photovoltaic panels. Whether for selling the energy generated, accessing self-consumption or participating in a co-ownership model, this is a real opportunity for farmers, rural landowners and renewable energy developers.

  • High long-term profitability: once the initial investment has been recovered, energy production generates constant income for more than 25 years.
  • Low financial risk: the technology is mature, reliable and has low maintenance costs, which minimizes the possibility of loss.
  • Tax incentives: possibility of applying corporate income tax rebates and other deductions linked to renewable energies.
  • Boosting sustainability: contributes to the development of a clean energy model, promoting the use of solar energy as the main source.
  • Reduction of pollutant emissions: by not emitting CO₂, it helps to combat climate change and meet European environmental objectives.
  • Reduced energy dependence: produces local and renewable energy, reducing exposure to price increases and fossil fuel imports.
  • There are public subsidies managed by each autonomous community, financed with European funds, to promote solar self-consumption on rural properties, whether for residential or industrial use. They are divided into three lines: self-consumption, storage with batteries and renewable air conditioning.

  • Rural properties for residential use

These facilities are eligible for programs 4 and 5, which offer:

    • 600 €/kWp installed and 490 €/kWh in batteries (for installations of less than 10kWp)
    • Between 300 € and 450 €/kWp for higher power installations
    • Extra bonuses in small municipalities: 55 €/kWp and additional 15 €/kWh
  • Industrial use rural properties

Included in programs 1, 2 and 3, with non-refundable aid depending on the type of applicant:

    • Large companies: up to 15
    • SMEs: up to 45
    • Self-employed: variable percentage
    • Batteries: between 45 % and 65 % of eligible cost
  • These subsidies are granted on a first-come, first -served basis until the available budget is exhausted. In addition, they can be combined with local tax rebates such as IBI, ICIO or corporate income tax deductions, depending on the municipality or autonomous community.
